When does it get any better than when chocolate, pudding and cake run into each other? I rest my case. I’m not sure what the magic is when the top becomes the bottom, and the bottom becomes the top, but it sure is a clever trick! Accessorize as you wish – chopped nuts, dried fruit, or leave it just as it is – an ooey, gooey chocolate lava storm in your mouth designed to make your eyes roll back in their sockets.

Knees will buckle, drooling, light-headedness and poor judgement will ensue. Forget about operating heavy machinery … and speaking of heavy machinery – wait for it – this can also be prepared in a bread machine. 1. Measure out the dry ingredients.

2. Lightly grease your pan.

3. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine.

4. Add the milk.

5. A little oil is next.

6. And the last of the wet is the vanilla.

7.Mix it into a gorgeous, chocolatey batter.

8. Get it into the prepared pan.

9. Get the next layer’s ingredients together – the sugary, cocoa, coffee layer.

10. Measure out the hot coffee and set aside.

11. Whisk the sprinkle layer together and get ready to, well, sprinkle.

12. And start sprinkling.

13. And keep sprinkling until you’ve completely covered the batter.

14. Get the coffee – carefully and slowly pour it over the sprinkle layer.

15. Keep pouring until you’ve covered the pan.

16. And it will look like this and DO NOT STIR! Just pick it up and carefully move it to the hot oven where some serious magic is about to take place! David Copperfield watch your back!

22. Add a scoop of whatever you like, whip cream, crème fresh, vanilla yogurt, ice cream – I went for ice cream and I went for chocolate.
